Welcome to the world of Arvon.

Arvon is all about opening up the unique creative writing experience that we offer to everyone.

Every year we reach at least 24 schools and young people groups and 15 or more disadvantaged adult or specialised genre/art form groups. So that's everyone from 10 year-olds based in an inner-city school to a refugee writers group, from a group of young carers to a bunch of new playwrights whose work goes to the Edinburgh Fringe. A quick calculation - that's over 700 people a year benefiting from the Arvon magic, in addition to the 1400 people who come on our courses open to the general public.

On top of this we fundraise to add essential money to our unique writers grants scheme. This means we can offer grants to those writers who would not be able to attend a publicly advertised Arvon course otherwise, due to low income.

But we can't do this without the help from generous individuals, trusts and foundations and companies. Thank you to our supporters.

We have a small dedicated development team based in London. In addition, Arvon's fundraising work is supported by our Development Board.
