Welcome to the Arvon Foundation's online catalogue of courses for 2008.
We celebrate 40 years of residential writing courses this year - and we have more courses than ever to inspire your creativity and imagination. From writing your first novel and advanced poetry to nature and food writing - we have courses for everyone.
If you come on our courses this year, you will be considered for the new Jerwood/Arvon Mentoring Scheme for Gifted and Talented Writers. 9 people from our courses will be chosen to be mentored in 2009 for a year by a published writer.
In addition, as an extra bonus for the first time, in 2008 if you wish you can have your writing read by one of the UK's leading literary agents, Capel & Land, and by the leading literary publisher John Murray. You will be told how to do this when you book your Arvon course with us.
So get booking. You can view all our writing courses for adults in this section. Find out about Arvon writing weeks - what happens on the courses, what past students say, the accommodation and food. You can also request a brochure and from 21st January book your course online too.
