International Poetry Competition

The next Arvon International Poetry Competition will open for entries on 13 May 2010. This year, the panel of judges will be chaired by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.

This prestigious biennial competition was founded by Ted Hughes in 1980. The first ever winner was Andrew Motion. All entries are anonymously judged and the competition has a reputation for uncovering the poetic talent of the future.
