Being Open

Poetry is open to everything and everybody. Every kind of theme and form can be explored on this course. With group workshop sessions and one-to-one tutorials – but leaving ample time for private writing – the tutors will encourage and assist both the experienced writers and those just making a start with this most comprehensive and rewarding of arts.

Fleur Adcock's Poems 1960-2000 is published by Bloodaxe Books. She was awarded an OBE in 1996 and the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry in 2006.

Alan Brownjohn

Alan Brownjohn published his third volume of Collected Poems with Enitharmon Press in 2006. A former teacher and college lecturer, he is also the author of four novels and has been a regular poetry critic for national newspapers.
