Creative Non-Fiction

Presenting the True

Non-fiction requires all the creative, writerly skills if it's to work – a solid structure, a well-judged sense of proportion, a compelling narrative voice, and a clear connection of ideas. If some of the story is true, so much the better; but success in any branch of non-fiction – travel, memoir, biography – depends entirely on how well you put it over.
