Beginners and more experienced screenwriters alike will benefit from this course which will take students through the development process from first idea to complete script. We will explore all aspects of storytelling on screen with workshops, discussions and screenings of films to help students develop their original scripts or adaptations.

Jez Butterworth’s films include Birthday Girl, starring Nicole Kidman, Mojo starring Harold Pinter and Ian Hart. Fair Game, starring Naomi Watts and Sean Penn, is due for release in 2010. His stage plays include Jerusalem and Parlour Song.
Allegra Huston was previously Editorial Director of Weidenfeld & Nicolson and Acquisition and Development Consultant at Pathe Pictures. She is the author of six screenplays and a memoir, Love Child, published in April 2009.
Patrick Marber writes for stage and screen. His screenplays include Closer, Notes on a Scandal and Love You More.
