CREATIVE NON-FICTION

Finding the narrative in non-fiction

This course is aimed at students working towards giving narrative flow and a cohesive tone to personal, social and historical non-fiction material. We will look at the process of dramatising real events, subsuming research into a story, using and adapting interviews for dialogue and revising, editing and ordering a manuscript into readable material. We will also consider the ethical and moral dilemmas of writing narrative non-fiction.
